Welcome to my Paradise
A formal Living room that I designed to look like an Indian living room. I converted my old futon to a diwan(Indian sofa) and added square and pillar pillows to match the theme. I have collected a couple of Ravi Varma paintings to decorate the wall. Other items like pottery, Indian Lamp, Budda statue and even palm tree help set the mood.
My entryway is decorated my peacocks and parrots. I got these rugs from Walmart, matched perfectly with my design.
Yellow Yellow nooky fellow... This is my favorite place to sip on a cup of tea or catch up my pins on pinterest.
We love travelling a lot and I wanted to show off my souvenirs as a collection. So I came up with the idea of pinning the places we visited in the US map . For that I glued a poster of US map on a cork board. I painted an aluminum baking pan using golden spray paint and arranged my magnets on it. All the other souvenirs I arranged on a display case I found at Goodwill.
This piece of furniture is actually a study table whose top portion I converted into a charging station. I love it so much as the cords and wires stay well hidden. As this area is the first point of entry from our garage, I used the drawers to help everyone dump their stuffs. Rather than things lying on the counter top now they are hidden inside the pullout drawers. While one of them holds mails and the other one you can toss your important stuffs like watches or ID cards.
This twin bed I arranged near my window so that I can enjoy my backyard on my free time. This also adds as an extra bed for guests.
Guest bedroom in pink and orange.
In Living room, instead of going for a traditional wall unit I arranged floating shelves and added two book shelves at the bottom. If I want to change something then that would be to add closed shelves instead of open book shelves.
I painted my master bedroom green and added a lot of Hearts... Once my niece went on a treasure hunt to find all the hearts in that room.. :) I have many stuffs shaped in hearts like vases, collecting dishes, flower arrangements and a lot more. the "LOVE" decor was made by me years back.
